Wind Industry

In 2014, we expanded our fleet with a new all-terrain LTM 1750-9.1. This 9 axle crane has allowed us to better serve our customers in need of a crane with a large lifting capacity, up to 900 Ton. This powerhouse is also capable of a max hook height of 500 ft. and a max radius of 370 ft. The on the fly crab steering mode allows this large crane to transition into tight work areas with ease.

Digging & Rigging, Inc. has quickly become proficient in industries that were previously out of our reach, including wind power maintenance. Typically, tower and crawler cranes are used for larger lifts, but require more time for travel, set-up and break-down. The LTM 1750-9.1 is mobile both on the road and onsite.

Most recently, this crane has been working hard on several wind farms in Pennsylvania. Currently, it is on a farm in Garrett, PA performing a drivetrain exchange, which requires rotor removal on these particular turbines.
